Al joined Chambers in 2008 as a research analyst and has since risen to UK Research Director, overseeing rankings and analysis for the country since 2021.

His career at the company has also seen him shape the direction of Chambers Insight, where he served as Editor between 2012 and 2021.

Based in London, Al brings his deep expertise in research strategy, editorial leadership and market insight to the UK rankings process.

Karley joined Allergy Therapeutics in 2021 to establish and lead the Group Legal function, supporting a fast-moving biotech and its board across jurisdictions in an AIM listed environment.

With over 15 years of in-house legal experience in UK and multinational companies spanning recruitment, market intelligence, pharmaceutical services, and medtech, Karley brings cross-sector insight to commercial, compliance and corporate matters.

Alison Freshwater, Head of Private Credit Structuring, Aberdeen Investments

Alison joined Aberdeen Investments in 2015 and leads the global Private Credit Structuring team, overseeing fund structuring, launches and transaction management.

Previously a debt broker for Aberdeen’s private markets and real estate funds, she now shapes processes across real estate lending, private placements, infrastructure debt and fund finance.

Previously, Alison spent nearly a decade as a banking and finance lawyer at CMS (formerly Dundas & Wilson) in Edinburgh and London, including a secondment to the Real Estate Restructuring division of Natwest Markets plc (then RBS). Her cross-functional expertise spans legal, strategic and operational dimensions of private markets.
